On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB) 2025, an event dedicated to digital innovation, begins. The summit, organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), takes place between April 8 and 11 at the Palace of Parliament, bringing together high-ranking officials, technology experts and industry leaders to shape the digital future.
The first day of the summit will be marked by a high-level opening ceremony, which will be attended by members of the Romanian government, representatives of European and international institutions, and top ICT specialists. Among the officials present are two Deputy Prime Ministers, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Education and Research, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity, the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, along with representatives of regulatory authorities and the main parliamentary committees in the fields of technology, communications, energy, labour and health. The officials' presence will emphasize the importance of an integrated digital strategy and Romania's role in promoting innovation and cyber resilience.
In the second part of the day, the International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy (ICCD) will take place, a landmark international conference dedicated to global cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. The debates will cover essential topics for cyber diplomacy and international strategies for protection against digital threats. Topics covered include international cooperation for concerted cyber actions, developing collective capabilities to respond to cyber attacks, combating disinformation and digital propaganda, global regulation of cyber intrusion technologies, and the balance between innovation, regulation and enforcement of cyber sanctions in the context of the ethical use of artificial intelligence.
Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest 2025 aims to provide an essential framework for dialogue and collaboration between decision-makers, industry specialists and academics, strengthening Romania's position as a regional hub for digital innovation and cybersecurity.
