The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest and the National Company Unifarm S.A. signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which marks the beginning of a collaboration aimed at strengthening relations between the two institutions in the field of digital transformation and innovation, in support of improving the interaction between the patient and the healthcare system in Romania. The document was signed by Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Manager of ICI Bucharest, and Adrian-Marius Dobre, General Manager of Unifarm.
The partnership aims to identify and develop joint projects that have a positive impact on operational efficiency, digitalisation of processes, and increasing the level of safety and transparency in the specific activities of the two entities, given their common objective of supporting patient health as an element of national security.
“Through this memorandum, ICI Bucharest reaffirms its commitment to supporting modernisation and digitalisation initiatives in the strategic areas of society. The collaboration with Unifarm is part of the series of inter-institutional partnerships through which we aim to strengthen digital capabilities at the national level and integrate new technologies in support of a more efficient and patient-oriented healthcare system in Romania”, said Dr. Eng. Adrian Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.

The document outlines the establishment of a cooperation framework between the two organisations to exchange expertise, develop joint projects and initiatives, and promote innovation and digitalisation at the institutional level.

Dr. eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, held a meeting with representatives of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Peru (Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros – PCM). The discussions addressed policies, strategies, and research projects that can support a secure, scalable, and reliable digital transformation in Peru.
Today, 1 September 2026, the implementation of the “Romanian EuroHPC AI Factory at ICI Bucharest” – RO AI Factory project officially begins, under Grant Agreement No. 101314645, funded by the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) through the HORIZON-JU-EUROHPC-2025-AI call. The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest plays an important role in implementing the initiative, serving as the Hosting Entity for RO AI Factory.
