ICI Bucharest Secures Nikola Tesla’s Legacy for the Digital Age
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest is redefining how cultural heritage is preserved and shared in the digital era.
ICI Bucharest announces signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Plug and Play, proposing to strengthen Romania's innovation ecosystem by encouraging collaboration between startups, corporations, government entities and international investors.
Through this partnership, ICI Bucharest aims to capitalize on the global network and expertise of Plug and Play, a global innovation platform with a presence in over 40 locations worldwide that connects startups with investors and corporations to drive technological progress. The MoU will focus on identifying, supporting and expanding Romanian startups in key sectors, including fintech, healthtech, energy and sustainability. Combining the knowledge and research capacity of ICI Bucharest with the ecosystem of corporate partners and Plug and Play investors, this cooperation aims to position Romania as a hub for technological progress in Eastern Europe.

The partnership focuses on growing IT startups, driving digital transformation and fostering an environment conducive to emerging technologies.

ICI Bucharest organises the workshop "Harmonising Cybersecurity: Bridging Civilian and Defence Paradigms", an event dedicated to strengthening the collaboration between the civil and defence sectors in the field of cybersecurity. The event will take place in a hybrid format on September 11, 2025, at the ICI Bucharest headquarters and online.
On 30.06.2025, the financing contract for the project "INCLUSIVE - Employment services for young people, including NEETs", ID 337158, co-financed by the European Union through the Education and Employment Programme 2021 - 2027, Priority: P02 "Developing the potential of young people on the labour market (Youth employment)" was signed.
