ICI Bucharest establishes Cyber ​​Diplomacy Twinning Center together with ADA University and the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the ADA University of Azerbaijan and the  Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. This partnership, carried out through the Cyber ​​Diplomacy Center within ICI Bucharest, is realized, in the first phase, through the establishment of a Cyber ​​Diplomacy Twinning Center.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Carmen-Elena Cîrnu, scientific director of ICI Bucharest, coordinator of the Cyber ​​Diplomacy Center, Dr. Fariz Ismailzade, vice-rector of ADA University and gen.-mr. Allahveran Ismayilov, Deputy Head of the Special Communication and Information Security State Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It aims to develop joint research projects, education, and exchange of best practices in cybersecurity, information technologies, and cyber diplomacy. The collaboration will enable the partners to strengthen their capabilities in the face of global cyber threats and promote innovative solutions for protecting critical communication and information infrastructures.

Through this agreement, the parties will collaborate to develop educational programs and joint courses in cyber security and diplomacy, promote research in the field of protection of critical communications and information infrastructures, organize conferences, workshops and joint events in the field of cyber diplomacy and cyber security, share of best practices and solutions for preventing and combating cyber threats.

This memorandum's signing underlines ICI Bucharest's commitment to develop international partnerships and contribute to creating a secure and interconnected global ecosystem for digital cooperation.
