The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, as an institutional partner, invites you to the 11th edition of the "Smart Cities of Romania - SCoR" conference, organized by Smart Cities of Romania CLUSTER, on May 6, 2026.

Dedicated to promoting solutions for smart cities, the event aims to bring together relevant actors involved in sustainable urban development and to create a framework for applied dialogue on essential topics for the future of communities in Romania. From strategy and technology to digital transformation and performance culture, the conference aims to help shape a coherent vision of how public services, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration can support the smart development of cities.

The conference brings together representatives of central and local public administration, regulatory organizations, academic, diplomatic and business environments. This year's edition will focus on a concrete approach to smart city projects, from defining needs and objectives to implementation, partnerships and measuring results, while also providing examples of good practices and perspectives on current challenges.

The SCoR 2026 theme will include topical topics such as the role of digitalization and artificial intelligence in transforming communities in Romania, the use of AI in local public administration, the development of smart public services, supporting sustainable and resilient communities, as well as the importance of financing, partnerships, edge computing and 5G connectivity in building the cities of the future.
