Overall objectives of the project

  • analysis of the existing related work in the field of research, specification of models and evaluation tools;
  • experimentation and validation of models and associated tools;
  • experimenting and demonstrating the utility of hybrid methods used for assessing the acceptance of online social networks.

Results

  • report on research and results in the field of the project (classifications and characteristics of online social networks, studies and research in the field of online social networks, theories and models used to study online social networks, research on the acceptance and use of online social networks);
  • specifications regarding the models of acceptance and use of online social networks, including specifications regarding the methodology for testing and validating the proposed models;
  • model validation report and evaluation tools report, based on systematic research with students from several university centers in the country;
  • report on experimentation and demonstration of the utility of hybrid methods for assessing the acceptance of online social networks based on the results obtained from empirical studies conducted on a sample of students from seven universities in the country, using the online social network Facebook.
