Research on the use of advanced software tools for the analysis and visualization of big data

Project Coordinator: Eng. Mădălina ZAMFIR – Scientific Researcher

Overall objectives of the project

  • research on software platforms for the analysis and visualization of scientific data;
  • experimenting software tools, big data oriented components of the investigated platforms;
  • installation and experimentation of a platform for the analysis and visualization of big data.

Results

  • investigating major trends in the field of data-intensive computing platforms;
  • investigating the main tools and platforms that offer Visual Analytics (VA) facilities for Big Data and highlighting their features, benefits and role;
  • case studies and experimental report, which strengthened the professional skills of the research team for various configurations and installations of platforms for the analysis and visualization of big data;
  • research and experimentation on specific issues of the Big Data Analytics technologies integration, in particular open source technologies, with appropriate and effective tools and methods for visualizing massive data;
  • development of an architecture and an operating mode of the support components for the development of integrated analysis and visualization applications.
