Dispatch and management center for the optimization of integrated home care services – CDMS

Project Manager: Dr. Eng. Sorin PUȘCOCI – Scientific Researcher II

Overall objective of the project

  • Direct assistance to SMEs involved in integrated home care activity – IHC, in order to identify and promote the benefits obtained by using ICT-based support for the growth and optimization of their work for IHC.
  • Organizing workshops to present and analyze problems regarding the use of ICT support specific to the IHC„ field, as well as to identify the elements that can contribute to the development and operation optimized in terms of technical, human or economic resources for SMEs - IHC.
  • Transfer of knowledge to stakeholders in the implementation of a CDMS, to define, through research activities, the technical aspects regarding architectures with potential for developing software applications specific to current activities.
  • Research through effective collaboration to achieve the necessary elements for the CDMS platform. The research is aimed at the hardware necessary for the implementation of CDMS, as well as the software elements specific to the operation of the dispatch, management and telenursing system within the activities of IHC

Project description

The CDMS – POC SMIS 106070 project resulting from the competition 2016 – submitted by INSCC Bucharest., for priority Axis 1: Research, technological Development and Innovation (RDI) in support of economic competitiveness and business development, knowledge transfer partnerships. Since 2021 ICI becomes legal representative of the project, through the merger of ICI-INSCC.

Its general objective is to develop knowledge transfer partnerships to develop ICT support necessary for the implementation of a CDMS for the optimization of integrated medical services for companies that also provide integrated home care.

CDMS is the place where a company that offers medical services , can connect to have it support to support an activity for integrated home medical services.

The applications made available by CDMS allow their customization and optimization in accordance with the specifics of the IHC company, as well as access to new technologies to introduce new types of home services from the telemedicine category.

The target group for the direct application of the project, representing knowledge transfer for the implementation and development of a CDMS, consists mainly of :

  • SMEs interested in implementing, developing a CDMS and providing related services to companies with IHC;
  • SMEs interested in hardware and software development of integrated components or solutions for the provision of new telemedicine services;
  • SMEs with concerns for the provision of IHC services.

Results

  • Carrying out knowledge transfer to stakeholders in the implementation of a CDMS, in order to define, through research activities, the technical aspects regarding architectures with the potential to develop the necessary hardware support, communication support, elaboration of technical specifications for the development of software applications specific to the current activities for IHC.
  • Organizing workshops to present and analyze problems regarding the use of CDMS specific to the IHC field,
  • Research through effective collaboration – with private companies – for the realization of some elements necessary for the CDMS platform, resulting in the implementation of a CDMS center at pilot level, the development of software applications necessary for the operation of the CDMS Center, as well as the applications needed to develop activities for IHC companies that want to offer integrated services at home.
  • Providing direct assistance to an SME for the implementation of the CDMS pilot and the use of applications specific to the IHC activity.
  • Dissemination of results by participating in specialized conferences, in the country and abroad with scientific communications.
