General objectives of the project
- Knowledge creation: obtaining cutting-edge, competitive scientific and technological results from research activity in the ICT field; creating and maintaining an innovative spirit and a collaborative working environment in the research activity in the ICT field, of high ethical conduct and responsibility.
- Alignment with research priorities: encouraging excellent and innovative research in relation to national and European research priorities, alignment with the fields of intelligent specialization and those of public priority defined by strategies at the national level.
- Collaboration: encouraging and expanding research partnerships, as well as improving the use of research results by creating connections with existing innovation systems at national, European and international level.
- Continuous training: ensuring training and training of personnel at the highest level and finding opportunities in this regard, for the training of high-value specialists; the expansion of scientific expertise in response to the omnipresence of information technologies in the economy and society.
- Expanding the research infrastructure: facilitating researchers' access to the newest generations of equipment and information sources by ensuring a coherent and efficient research infrastructure.
- Public involvement: public awareness, understanding and support of the results and benefits of the research carried out in the institute.
- Effective organization: the implementation of an efficient and flexible structure and operating scheme, as well as management processes, which allow the achievement of the institute's objectives in a transparent and responsible working framework.
Project description
The innovation laboratories within ICI Bucharest will focus on the development of technological products, on the development of research projects and on the initiation of partnerships with national and international entities, in the seven disruptive technologies: IoT, Blockchain, HPC, cyber security, 5G, Quantum Computing and AI.
