Overall objectives of the project

• developing an integrated technology platform by which the elderly is discreetly monitored through sets of extensible technologies, personal records being safely stored (by privacy techniques) and analyzed to retrieve information to be delivered carers, with a view to early detection of symptoms associated with age-related deficiencies and triggering alerts related to possible incidents;
• clinical and field validation (TRL 6 and above) of the vINCI integrated ecosystem, designed to bring the elderly into contact, anywhere, anytime, with caregivers and family.

Project description

The general purpose of vINCI is to help increase the active aging of older people, with and without major cognitive impairments, with the goal of improving their quality of life through technology.

Since vINCI has to make a significant contribution to improving and supporting the quality of life of older people by integrating cutting-edge technologies, this process will take place around three basic complementary concepts: connection, collation and care.

The ultimate goal is to demonstrate a systematic approach to ensure the highest level of quality control, automatic monitoring and data management.

Estimated results

• an integrated technology platform that will provide a comprehensive framework for monitoring several factors that affect the quality of life, including physical conditions and social life. The data collected by the platform will be used to validate and correct interventions on the quality of life without any major visible intrusion into users' lives, based on requirements, the level of education and understanding of individual information and needs;
• Getting more in-depth knowledge of the relationship between the elderly and the formal and informal care provider to allow for the development of appropriate data exchange rules through the vINCI network to support the kits and the right technology to be used as a substitute and care provider appropriate medical services at lower costs.
