ProActive Ageing project aimed to contribute to a better social inclusion of ageing people by providing services based on modern IT technology to facilitate and promote access to longlife education and healthcare support to this vulnerable group. Moreover, it provided practical, motivating, reliable and friendly informatics tools, dedicated to ageing persons, experts in the field of health, those who take care of ageing people, be they professionals or not.
The project had as main objectives:
- to consider and define new ways of promoting an active, independent and healthy life for ageing persons at personal, healthcare, and business level;
- to design a framework for ageing persons for supporting them to improve the skills they need to cope with age-related changes and to remain active in society;
- to encourage and promote new approaches for business managers in order to become more adaptable to the ageing labour market;
- to support the promotion of the specific anti-ageing research and the training and education of formal and informal carers who work with elderly;
- to promote the European innovation reinforcement between innovative IT and anti-ageing actions for deployment and sharing of best practice at social level.
