ICI Project Coordinator: Eng. Marilena IANCULESCU – Scientific Researcher III

Overall objective of the project

The overall objective of the project is to demonstrate the potential of ICT (ICT of cloud computing, Big Data, predictive analytics) for the positive transformation of how health care services are provided to the elderly and to the care provider staff.

Project description

Like most European countries, Romania is already confronted with the complex economic and social consequences of a population experiencing demographic aging.

Under these circumstances, health monitoring is in line with the current trends in health and social care systems, a major concern for supporting the elderly by ensuring optimal access to digital technology, looking at the impact on quality of life, as well as on health and social care.

Through the implementation of the project and the achievement of its specific objectives, the potential, efficiency and usefulness of advanced ICT solutions in the eHealth sector are demonstrated, and research will provide viable solutions to many health reform challenges. The project's results will be able to support the provision of more advanced health care services centered on the elderly by facilitating the orientation of medical practice to prevention and personalized assistance.
