The project aims to develop an innovative platform compliant with the requirements of the INSPIRE Directive to support Romanian public organizations under the coordination of MCID in the collection, transformation, publication, and validation of geospatial data. The INSPIRE Directive (2007/2/EC) establishes the European framework for spatial information infrastructure, essential for supporting environmental policies and related initiatives. At the national level, the project addresses the need for standardization and interoperability in geospatial data, with the primary objective of ensuring compliance with European legislation and technical specifications.
Development of Romania's capacity to participate in European Union programs by implementing the provisions of the Secure Connectivity program, which aims to provide secure communication services based on existing infrastructures, supplemented by those developed under the GOVSATCOM program for governmental satellite communications, EuroQCI for the distribution of quantum encryption keys, as well as new satellite communication capabilities through the launch of a European megaconstellation.
