Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), participated as a speaker at the ninth edition of the international expo-conference Black Sea Defense & Aerospace (BSDA), which took place on the 22 - May 24, 2024, at Romaero Baneasa.
"Artificial intelligence and quantum computing are changing the paradigm for both attackers and defenders. These systems can quickly analyze enormous amounts of data without the need for human supervision, making them ideal for identifying suspicious activity and defending against advanced threats, making their role even more important in maintaining a secure online environment," noted Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.
The director general's presentation focused on cyber security in critical space infrastructures, thus underlining ICI Bucharest's commitment to the mission of promoting excellence in research and developing state-of-the-art technological solutions aimed at meeting the critical needs of modern society.
The BSDA conference brought together leading specialists from the fields of defence, security and aerospace, providing a unique platform for exchanging knowledge and presenting the latest technologies and solutions. The representatives of ICI Bucharest were present during the three days in Pavilion C, at booth C1351, where they presented the offer in the field of digital forensics and cyber security, from the recovery of digital evidence and the location of deleted, encrypted or damaged files and data, to monitoring and protection of cyber systems.
