Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, speaker at the Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge 2023

Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, participated in the Critical Infrastructure Defense Challenge (CIDC) 2023, held on October 26-27, 2023, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The event was organised by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security of Azerbaijan and the State Security Service, bringing together more than 1,700 representatives of domestic and foreign companies, the government sector, students and professionals in the field.

“In today's interconnected world, protecting critical infrastructure is essential. We are witnessing a growing number of cyber threats and attacks on vital sectors, including energy, transportation and healthcare, which can have far-reaching consequences for society. We have a collective responsibility to protect critical infrastructure. Collaboration, information sharing and cooperation with other organisations, both public and private, are essential components to foster a robust and proactive cyber security environment.” said Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest. His intervention occurred in the panel with the theme "The role of CERTs in protecting critical infrastructure".

During the event, in addition to presentations and panel discussions, the final of the Cyberwarfare competition was held to develop skills in the defense of critical information systems against cyber attacks and the management of information systems in crises. Moreover, CIDC also offered an exhibition of cyber security solutions, contests and virtual quizzes.
