AGEING Fit 2020

Between 28-29.01.2020, in France, at the Palace of Congresses Nice ACROPOLIS took place the European event dedicated to strengthening innovation in the healthy ageing sector – AGEINGFit, organised by EURASANTE, the Agency for economic development in the field of health and nutrition for Northern France, which since 1994 has been supporting research, project managers and the companies in the field of health care with regard to research and innovation. At this event the outcomes of the European HoCare project were disseminated by means of the project partner ICI Bucharest.

The AGEINGFit2020 event was organised around 5 parallel tracks (The European senior care market challenges; Connected healthy ageing; Innovative prevention through nutrition for healthy ageing; Innovation in long-term care institutions; Innovation for ageing well at home) and a plenary session. The 5th track saw the participation of five panelists with different kinds of experience in innovation for ageing well at home, including the only panelist from Romania, the representative of ICI Bucharest, Dr. Econ. Math. Florescu Gabriela, scientific researcher and expert, project coordinator for Romania in the framework of the European project HoCare. This project is dedicated to innovative solutions in the field of ageing well at home based on the Quadruple Helix Model. Apart from the brief presentation of the best practices and advantages of using artificial intelligence by means of the so-called chatbots for healthcare, the Romanian panelist set forth the accomplishments, best practices and the action plan in the framework of the HoCare project, which was funded through the Research and Innovation framework of the Interreg Europe cooperation programme.
