An ICI Bucharest delegation participated in the Symposium "Counterfeiting and piracy in the field of intellectual property"

Between October 18-20, 2023, a delegation of experts from the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest participated in the Symposium on "Counterfeiting and piracy in the field of intellectual property." The event was organized by the National Chamber of Industrial Property Advisors and brought together representatives of academia and the public and private sectors.

The main purpose of the symposium was to facilitate closer collaboration between state entities with attributions conferred by law in the field of protection and defence of intellectual property rights. This event created an important platform for dialogue and exchange of experience between different entities involved in the protection of intellectual property, as well as between them and representatives of the private sector and professional associations.

Through discussions and presentations by experts in the field, the symposium addressed relevant and current topics related to the fight against counterfeiting and piracy in the context of intellectual property rights. The debates focused on effective methods of preventing, identifying and combating counterfeiting, as well as how the business environment can better protect industrial property rights.

During the event, the need for close collaboration between the parties involved was emphasized to effectively combat any attempt at counterfeiting or piracy concerning one's products and innovations.
