The second day of the Digital Innovation Summit Bucharest (DISB) 2025 was marked by a broad dialogue on protecting critical infrastructures in the digital age, within the Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum (CIP Forum) – an event now in its eighth edition. The debate sessions brought together international cybersecurity experts, government leaders, researchers and representatives of the business and civil society, who analyzed the global challenges of the resilience of critical infrastructures in a volatile geopolitical landscape.
In interactive sessions and multidisciplinary panels, topics such as securing air transport, smart cities, energy infrastructure, cross-border supply chains, and the digital transformation of society were addressed in depth. The day ended with a strategic debate dedicated to the future of energy infrastructures and operational resilience solutions in the face of emerging risks.
More than discussions about the protection of critical infrastructures, the second day of the summit offered an opportunity to conclude partnership agreements between the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest and Gardiyan Sistem Güvenlik Teknolojileri A.Ş., Romanya Yasami Destekleme Dernegi – ROYAD, Asociatia Women4Cyber Romania and Societatea Extensive Network S.R.L - FreeYaMind Campus.
A reference moment of the day was the announcement of the digital partnership between the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade and ICI Bucharest. This collaboration is materialized through the exclusive collection of NFTs – "Teslaverse – Unlocking Tesla's Legacy in the Digital Age", which pays homage to the genius of Nikola Tesla, combining cultural heritage with digital technology.
The Ghidul Primăriilor magazine becomes the first institutional publication in Romania to enter the Web 3.0 universe through a dedicated NFT collection. 14 NFTs are being launched, one for each edition of the magazine published between 2020–2024. Each NFT is reproduced in 14 unique copies and includes the magazine cover.
At the same time, the first-anniversary collection of NFTs in Romanian higher education was launched: "Heritage of the Elites", a project initiated by Titu Maiorescu University in collaboration with ICI D|SERVICES. This collection includes 35 symbolic NFTs, each representing a year in the history of the University.
Also today, the mockup of the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) NFT collection was officially presented, a pilot project that marks a world premiere: BIAS becomes the first air show in the world to launch its own digital souvenir collection on the blockchain. Another collaboration announced was between ICI Bucharest and Agerpres, who will launch the "Flower Bridge" collection, thus celebrating the cultural ties between Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
"Launching these collections in Web 3.0 marks a defining moment for Romania's digital transformation. We are not just talking about NFTs as technological elements but about a new form of institutional memory, national identity and dialogue with citizens and future generations. ICI Bucharest continues to lay the foundations of an ecosystem where the past, present and future meet in a secure, transparent and global format", said Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.
