The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest was present on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Circular Economy Conference 2025 | 5th Edition, organized by The Diplomat Bucharest. The event brought together experts, industry leaders and representatives of institutions to discuss the progress and challenges of the circular economy in Romania.
During the conference, Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, was a speaker in the "Circular Economy Awareness & Best Practices" session, emphasizing the importance of education and awareness for the transition to a sustainable economy. In his intervention, he highlighted the essential role of digitalization and new technologies in implementing circular economy practices, emphasizing innovative solutions supported by emerging technologies to optimize recycling processes and reduce waste.
