ICI Bucharest actively contributed to the meeting of leaders of the Horizon Europe COMFORTage project – Prediction, Monitoring and Personalized Recommendations for Prevention and Relief of Dementia and Frailty, held between November 13-15, 2024, in Bucharest.
The event brought together a consortium of 39 partners from 12 countries, representing fields such as medicine, social sciences, technology and digital innovation. As a partner, ICI Bucharest, represented by Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director, emphasized the importance of advanced technologies in developing integrated digital solutions to support older people.
ICI Bucharest contributes to the project through IT research and development expertise, integrating monitoring solutions, prediction, and personalized recommendations. These solutions aim to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia and frailty and provide essential support to carers and communities.
"The transdisciplinary collaboration within COMFORTage demonstrates the power of technology and applied research in addressing the challenges associated with an ageing population. ICI Bucharest is happy to contribute to this project that puts Romania at the centre of this European effort," said Dr. Ing. Adrian-Victor Vevera.
Participants discussed project progress, shared valuable insights, and strengthened plans to implement advanced technologies and personalized interventions. Also, the preliminary results of the pilot studies were analyzed, and directions were established for expanding the initiatives at the community level, taking into account the cultural specificity and the needs of each region in Europe.
