ICI Bucharest attended CERTCON 11

Between 13th – 14th October, 2021, the National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest attended the 11th edition of “The New Global Challenges in Cyber Security” International Conference (CERTCON 11), organized by the National Cyber Security Directorate (DNSC) (former CERT-RO).

Within the panel focused on cybersecurity in Cloud Computing, the General Director of the National Institute for Research & Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, Adrian Victor Vevera, presented the ICIPRO institutional cloud. It amis to establish, modernize, develop and streamline the public services provided to citizens through a Cloud Computing infrastructure that makes more efficient the procurement and use of ICT at the level of public institutions, increases the transparency of the activity of public institutions and facilitates interoperability between electronic public services.

In addition, the General Director presented the "CyberSecurity Cluster of Excellence", an initiative in which ICI Bucharest is a partner of the Constanta Maritime University (CMU) and of other specialized companies from this field, the president of the cluster being the Vice-Rector of CMU, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Eng. Gabriel Raicu.

The conference hosted 300 cybersecurity experts, representatives of the central public administration, as well as private companies, NGOs and academics.

The debates of this year focused on the topic of cybersecurity in the pandemic context and on its impact on a global level, in both the public and private sectors.
