ICI Bucharest contributed to the "Disaster Relief in CSDP Context" course, organized on the sidelines of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the National College of Internal Affairs (CNAI) within the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Police Academy. It was organized by CNAI under the auspices of the European Security and Defense College (ESDC), in cooperation with the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania, the Center of Excellence in Crisis Management and Disaster Response (CMDR-COE ) Sofia and the Diplomatic Institute attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
The contribution of ICI Bucharest was in the panel "Building resilience. Critical infrastructure protection, cyber security", where one of the most critical challenges facing our society – protecting our critical infrastructures and digital assets in the face of disasters and cyber threats – was addressed.
The course focused on the countries of the Eastern Partnership, providing knowledge on the impact of artificial, natural and climate disasters on European security in the CSDP context, information on EU institutional structures, mechanisms and tools used in disaster relief, rescue and humanitarian.
