ICI Bucharest contributes to the dialogue on digital transformation at the event "What's new in the EU?"

ICI Bucharest participated on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in the "What's new in the EU?" event organized by the EUROPE DIRECT Center Bucharest, hosted by the European Institute in Romania (IER). The event addressed current European topics, from digital and environmental challenges to just transition and the impact of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism.

At the centre of the discussions was the session dedicated to digital transformation in the context of using artificial intelligence (AI) centred on the human factor, led by the representative of ICI Bucharest. The session explored how AI technology can add value to European citizens' lives, underlining the importance of maintaining an ethical and human-centred approach to digitization processes. It discussed the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence presents in the current context of the European Union and proposed strategic directions to ensure that the implementation of AI is aligned with European values, such as transparency, security and protection of citizens' rights.

During the session, participants had the opportunity to ask questions in real-time through the Slido platform, contributing to a dynamic debate about Europe's digital future and how AI can be shaped to support a more inclusive, secure and adaptable society.

The event "What's new in the EU?" provided a platform for dialogue for participants while also being a valuable opportunity to discuss current EU policies and initiatives in various areas.
