The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics held the first session of the National Program "Cybersecurity. Initiation for Seniors", a project initiated by the Romanian Institute for Active Aging Association and carried out in partnership with ICI Bucharest, with the support of sponsors UniCredit Bank and Acronis. This initiative aims to support seniors in acquiring essential digital skills and help them navigate safely online.
The event was attended by 140 seniors, who learned how important it is to take advantage of the benefits of modern technology with the necessary knowledge to avoid the risks associated with cyber attacks, such as phishing, cyber-bullying, unauthorized access to personal data or the exploitation of security breaches.
During the inaugural session, experts from ICI Bucharest addressed essential topics, such as types of cyber scams, protection measures against scams through applications and social media, and authorities to contact in case of fraud.
ICI Bucharest reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the cyber education of all citizens, providing access to clear and helpful information about protecting personal data in the digital environment. A new program session is coming, and details will be announced soon.
