ICI Bucharest continues its participation as a scientific partner in the third edition of the National Congress on Active Ageing, an event organised by the Institute for Active Ageing Association at the Palace of Parliament between November 17 and 18, 2025. With the first day already over, the congress continues its activities today with a new series of debates, presentations and meetings dedicated to understanding and supporting the role of seniors in contemporary society. During the event, ICI Bucharest is present with a dedicated stand, where visitors can interact directly with the institute's specialists and discover the research projects of the innovation laboratories.
On the first day, the Robotics Laboratory team presented technological solutions to improve the autonomy, mobility, and safety of older people. At the same time, the Metaverse Laboratory offered demonstrations of virtual environments as tools for digital inclusion, education, and intergenerational connectivity. The high interest among participants confirms the need for adapted and accessible technologies that facilitate active and autonomous ageing. The Congress brings together over 600 seniors, representatives of local and central authorities, private-sector specialists, and members of civil society. The first day included interactive sessions dedicated to seniors' adaptation to current societal dynamics, and today the discussions continue on complementary topics, culminating in the Good Practices Awards Gala, a moment of recognition for projects that have produced a real impact in communities.
