The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest is participating in the 58th Conference of the International Council for Information Technology in Government Administration (ICA), which takes place between August 27-29, 2024, in Botswana. The event, themed "Smart Government for Tomorrow's Challenges: Resilient Digital Public Services and Infrastructure", brings together government officials, ICT experts and digital leaders worldwide.
"It is an honour for us to represent Romania at this international forum, where we have the opportunity to exchange knowledge and collaborate with professionals from all over the world", underlined Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest and vice-president of ICA, after the presentation on "The Role of Blockchain Intelligence". "Our presence at the ICA Conference allows us to show Romania's progress in digital governance and learn lessons from other countries, collaborating to create more innovative and resilient public services."
The ICI Bucharest delegation will contribute to the discussions regarding the improvement of digital public services and infrastructure, especially in the context of the emerging challenges faced by governments in the 21st century. The Institute is committed to promoting ICT innovations that drive efficiency, transparency and resilience in government administration.
The conference features a series of sessions that will address key issues such as: digital wallets and financial inclusion, the role of generative artificial intelligence in government, public-private partnerships for digital governance, cybersecurity and emerging threats, digital and green governance, and emerging leaders program.
