ICI Bucharest organized the Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum

The Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum, organized by the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, took place between April 26-27, 2023, at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest. The forum was attended by more than 1000 public and private sector professionals, including government officials, security experts, and representatives of critical infrastructure organizations.

The event provided a platform for attendees to discuss the challenges and threats facing critical infrastructure in today's technology landscape. The forum focused on the importance of maintaining the security and resilience of critical infrastructure, including energy, transport, telecommunications, and health systems.

"The protection of critical infrastructure is a complex challenge, which requires collaboration and coordination between different sectors and stakeholders", said Adrian Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest. "The forum facilitated participants to share knowledge, best practices, and strategies for mitigating risk and protecting critical infrastructure."

The forum consisted of discussions, interactive sessions, presentations, and the launch of the first European institutional platform for trading digital assets. Among the speakers were high-level officials of the Romanian Government and Parliament, representatives of international organizations, and top experts in critical infrastructure protection.

The event also featured innovative solutions and technologies for protecting critical infrastructure, with an exhibition area.

"The forum's success is a testament to the importance of protecting critical infrastructure and the commitment of stakeholders to collaborate and work together to address the challenges facing our society," said Adrian-Victor Vevera.
