Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, participated in Crypto Tax Forum 2026, an event dedicated to taxation, regulation and compliance in the field of crypto-assets.
During his intervention, the General Director of ICI Bucharest addressed trust in blockchain intelligence solutions. He stressed that trust in such a system should be based on the ability to verify how the results are obtained.
The methods used should be clear, open to expert analysis and reproducible by specialists. At the same time, the results should be explainable to those involved and, when necessary, capable of being assessed within a legal framework. Another topic addressed was the role of institutions in defining requirements for blockchain intelligence solutions and the tools used in crypto-asset taxation. In this context, the General Director highlighted the importance of cooperation between institutions, experts and technology solution providers from the early stages of developing these tools.
“Trust in a system should not come only from the result it provides, but also from the ability to understand and verify how that result was obtained. In the field of blockchain, transparency and verifiability are essential,” stated Dr. Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.
Crypto Tax Forum 2026 brought together institutional representatives, experts and professionals from the tax, legal and technology sectors to discuss current challenges related to the regulation and taxation of crypto-assets.
