The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated in the ETHCluj 2026 conference between May 13 and 14, 2026. ETHCluj brought together over 40 prominent names, developers, Web3 founders, and other industry leaders to address the latest topics in blockchain, DeFi, AI, and the Ethereum ecosystem.
ICI Bucharest representatives participated in the roundtable “Enterprise Roundtable – How to bring Europe onchain so we don’t lag behind”, where topics such as: institutional adoption of blockchain in Romania, best practices and techniques of institutions in the blockchain field, the usefulness of the blockchain industry in the institutional space and user experience, discussions oriented towards identifying the best initiatives for the development and growth of the Ethereum ecosystem in the long term.
The institute contributes to the development of the blockchain sector in Romania through research and development activities, products, services and training programs, such as the Blockchain Intelligence Academy (BIA).
