The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest participated in the "Social Economy in the Digital Era" event organized by the Romanian Association for Smart City on October 10, 2023, at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.
Key highlights of the event included high-quality interactive sessions, presentations, case studies and networking. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, contributed with his expertise and was one of the speakers, offering a perspective on digital transformations in the social economy.
"Innovation and technology are the engines that can transform the social economy, increasing efficiency, expanding impact and creating a more inclusive and sustainable society. It is essential that social economy organizations adopt and integrate these technologies into their strategies to successfully respond to the challenges and opportunities brought by the digital age," stated Adrian-Victor Vevera.
The event brought together professionals, policymakers and industry leaders to discuss the future of the social economy in the digital age. Participants had the opportunity to explore the impact of digital technologies on the social economy sector and how these technologies can contribute to increasing social inclusion and developing communities.

On May 22, 2025, ICI Bucharest contributed to the roundtable "Overview of the current cybersecurity dynamics in the European landscape" organized by the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre, together with the partners of the ECYBRIDGE Project. This event was the first roundtable of the project, focusing on the current dynamics of cybersecurity related to Critical Infrastructure (CI).
