The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) participated in the conference "AGERPRES 135: Era AI, innovations and digital challenges in contemporary journalism", organized by the National Press Agency AGERPRES on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the establishment of the first Romanian press agencies. The event took place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in the Hall of the "Carol I" Central University Library in Bucharest.

ICI Bucharest and AGERPRES carry out projects in the field of technological research and development, with the central objective of exploring how blockchain distributive technologies and crypto assets (NFT) can become essential tools for the distribution of news and information in the era of new technologies.
The AGERPRES 135 conference was an excellent opportunity to reflect on the evolution of journalism over time and explore how AI can help improve journalistic practices. The event brought together media professionals, academics, government representatives and digital experts to explore current and future trends in journalism in the digital age.
