Between August 22 and 24, 2023, ICI Bucharest participated in the annual meeting of the general directors of Romanian airports organized by the Romanian Airports Association.
Among the topics discussed were strategies for developing Romanian airports, the absorption of European funds, collaboration with airlines to establish airport route networks and aspects related to operational, safety and security issues in the aviation field.
The special guest was Adrian Veștea, the Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, former President of the Brașov County Council, who successfully implemented the project of the only airport in Romania and Southeast Europe that benefits from a virtual control tower, a significant technological innovation, which increases the operational efficiency of the airport, – Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport.
At the opening of the meeting participated David Ciceo, the President of the Romanian Airports Association and the general director of the "Avram Iancu" Cluj International Airport, Bogdan Mîndrescu, secretary of state in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Adrian Cojoc, general director of ROMATSA, Nicolae Crețu, commander of 57th Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base, Constanța, Corina Martin, general secretary of the Employers Federation of Romania's Hospitality Industry and Bogdan Artagea, general director of Constanța International Airport.
The event was attended by all the directors of the airports in our country, various entities, institutions, private companies and partners involved in the aviation industry.
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, organized today, July 29, 2025, the workshop on the theme "The Defense Industry Facing Dual-Use Technologies and NATO Requirements", an event dedicated to security, research and innovation in dual-use technologies.
On May 22, 2025, ICI Bucharest contributed to the roundtable "Overview of the current cybersecurity dynamics in the European landscape" organized by the Euro-Atlantic Resilience Centre, together with the partners of the ECYBRIDGE Project. This event was the first roundtable of the project, focusing on the current dynamics of cybersecurity related to Critical Infrastructure (CI).
