On September 5 - 7, 2023, ICI Bucharest participated in Poland in the 32nd edition of the Economic Forum organized annually by the Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies. The event is held annually and is one of the most important profile events in Central and Eastern Europe, attracting participants from over 60 countries for over 30 years.
This year's edition focused on the theme "New Values for the Old Continent – Europe on the Threshold of Change" with the participation of 4,000 guests from Europe, North America and Asia, from government delegates to business, science and culture representatives.
The topics discussed considered the consequences of recent events for Europe – the recent crises of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate and energy and food supply, highlighting Europe's vulnerability in sectors that are essential for its future. The forum also addressed the foundations on which the digital economy is built, such as cloud technology and new technologies in the field of energy.
A new edition of the Warsaw School of Economics and Economic Forum Report, a comprehensive study on the issues facing the Central and Eastern European region, was launched at this event.
ICI Bucharest's participation as a speaker and moderator in specialist panels highlighted the institute's expertise in digital technologies and associated European policies.
Adrian-Victor Vevera, the General Director of the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest), was honoured to be among the 200 inspirational leaders globally at the 12th edition of the White Page Leadership Conclave from Dubai, UAE. This recognition comes as a result of his outstanding contributions in the field of national security, cyber security and digital innovation.
ICI Bucharest participated in the "Kiss the Future" AI Summit, focused on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. The event took place on September 5-6, 2024, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and brought together global leaders in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), who explored the impact of AI in various sectors, including health, telecommunications and public policy.
ICI Bucharest, through Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director, participated in the Cyber Champions Summit conference: "a bridge between the Transatlantic and Asia-Pacific", together with the Romanian Embassy in Canberra, represented by H.E. Radu Gabriel Safta, the ambassador of Romania, and Dan Cîmpean, the director of Romanian National Cyber Security Directorate (DSNC).
