ICI Bucharest participated in the Euronews debate "Administration 4.0: what the digital state looks like"

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest participated on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in the Euronews Romania debate "Administration 4.0: what the digital state looks like", an event dedicated to the digital transformation of public administration and the role of new technologies in the development of public services.

During the debate, Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest, spoke about RO AI Factory and the importance of building a national infrastructure to support the development and responsible use of artificial intelligence in Romania.

“Digital administration does not only mean procedures moved online, but also infrastructure, interoperability, protected data and technologies used responsibly. In this context, RO AI Factory, the first artificial intelligence factory in Romania, developed together with a consortium of partners, can support the development of applied AI solutions for the administration, the private sector, research and the academic area. ICI Bucharest, as a hosting entity, assumes the role of contributing to this construction and bringing together relevant skills, infrastructure and partnerships,” said Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.

RO AI Factory aims to provide access to computing resources, expertise, and dedicated services for the development of applied AI solutions, including for administration, the economic environment, and research. The project is relevant in the context in which the digitalization of the state implies not only online platforms and services, but also the ability to use emerging data and technologies in a safe, coherent and useful way for citizens.
