ICI Bucharest participated in the first NeXGen meeting

Yesterday, June 7, 2022, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) participated in the first NeXGen meeting - from competition to convergence, an event dedicated to the smart city industry.

During the meeting, were addressed topics such as collaborative environments of smart projects and what the private sector must do.

The mission of the NeXGen platform developed by the Romanian Association for Smart City is to create an open and friendly space for collaboration for entrepreneurs, experts, central and local government decision-makers, professionals in various fields, business owners, academia, and diplomats.

ICI Bucharest welcomes and supports this initiative, cooperation being essential in all endeavors, including the smart city industry.

On June 22, 2026, the sixth edition of the Belt and Road Initiative Think Tank Conference, organised by the Belt and Road Institute, took place in Belgrade, under the theme "Geopolitical Notes of the Contemporary World: Music or Alarm?". The event brought together researchers, experts and decision-makers interested in recent geopolitical developments, digital cooperation and the role of artificial intelligence in international relations.

ICI Bucharest participated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in the “Future Energy Europe Summit”, an event organized by Club Antreprenor and Ziarul Pozitiv. The 6th edition of this summit was held at the Palace of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bucharest, bringing together government leaders, regulatory authorities, energy company representatives, and researchers, thereby creating a framework for dialogue between the public and private sectors.
