The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) was represented at the "Internet .RO Where to in AI Times" event by Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director, who gave a speech about the future of the Internet in Romania in the context of new technologies. He emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence and digitization for developing the national internet infrastructure.
"At ICI Bucharest, we also deal with the domain area, and I say that we have done a good job so far. Usually, there are about 6,000 incidents per day at the address of ".ro" domains. These can be attacks, human errors and a lot of other things. Clearly, other developments are coming because we have to keep up with what 5G, 6G, etc., mean. The digital area is in complete development. We have to adapt because technology is coming at us. If we don't adapt, we will be left behind," said the general director of the institute.
The event, organized by the Digital Transformation Council in partnership with Revista Comunicații Mobile and TelecomTV, brought together technology experts, IT industry leaders and decision-makers to discuss the challenges and opportunities generated by artificial intelligence and other digital innovations. The conference represented a dialogue platform for the main actors in the digital field, with the aim of identifying solutions for adapting to the new technological realities.
