ICI Bucharest participated in The Consultation Forum for Sustainable Energy in the Defence and Security Sector (CF SEDSS) management meeting in Dublin, Ireland, held on May 16-17, 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to collectively resolve the feedback received by the European Commission on the deliverables completed by the four working groups and to be briefed on the planning of the European Defence Agency (EDA) and The European Climate, Environment and Infrastructure Executive Agency (CINEA) for Phase IV of the CF Forum SEDSS.
ICI Bucharest is assisting EDA regarding the organisation of a workshop during May 30-31, 2024 that focuses on the Black Sea region within the SYMBIOSIS project exploring the intersection between offshore renewable energies and defence, including from a cyber perspective.
ICI Bucharest has been involved in the CF SEDSS since 2017, and an ICI Bucharest representative has moderated Working Group 3 on the Protection of Critical Energy Infrastructures since 2019. The purpose of the Forum is to bring together representatives of European Ministries of Defence, experts from the academic area, experts from European institutions and from the private sector to propose project ideas, develop studies and draw up reference documents for the European Commission. Thus, the degree of recognition of ICI Bucharest's expertise in the field of defence, energy and critical infrastructures has increased.
