Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of ICI Bucharest, participated in the opening of CyberCon Romania yesterday, May 22, 2023, at the National Military Circle, discussing the latest trends, challenges, and future directions in cyber security.
The moderator of the discussions among the panel participants – Antonio Dan-Șuteu, Vice-Chancellor of the National University. of Defense "Carol I", Cătălin Andruș, Vice-Rector of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Police Academy, Emanuela Mihaela Savu, Director General of the Romanian Banking Institute and Cătălin Câmpeanu, Deputy Director of the Institute of Financial Studies - was Mihai Sebe, Head of Service at the European Institute in Romania.
The discussions addressed the most pressing cybersecurity trends, highlighting the growing importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning in defending against sophisticated attacks. The director of ICI Bucharest emphasized the urgent need for innovation and continuous investment in these areas, recognizing their potential to strengthen cyber security measures.

The CyberCon Romania 2023 conference is organized by the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance - RAISA and takes place between May 22-27, 2023. The themes of May 24, 2023, when ICI Bucharest will be the host, are cyber diplomacy and critical infrastructure protection, the session addressing -se specialists in these fields.
CyberCon Romania aims to raise cyber awareness, represent an expression of cyber security culture and share best practices in combating cybercrime.
