ICI Bucharest participated in the second regional workshop organized within the SYMBIOSIS project, held in Athens between November 19-20, 2024. The event, organized by the European Defence Agency (EDA), represented a collaborative platform for exploring the security dimension of offshore renewable energy, focusing on civil and military cooperation. ICI Bucharest is one of the partners of the SYMBIOSIS project, contributing significantly to European efforts in the field of energy security.
During this event, the representative of ICI Bucharest gave a presentation dedicated to the main conclusions of the first SYMBIOSIS workshop, held in Bucharest, between May 30-31, 2024. Thus, the challenges and opportunities in offshore renewable energy were discussed, as well as the solutions for ensuring these infrastructures' cyber and operational security.
The event in Athens provided the opportunity to strengthen partnerships, share good practices and contribute to shaping European energy security policies.
SYMBIOSIS is an initiative developed under the auspices of the European Defence Agency to explore the security dimension of offshore renewable energy and facilitate collaboration between the civil and military sectors. The series of regional workshops aims to address the specificities of European maritime areas and promote solutions for protecting critical infrastructures.
