ICI Bucharest is participating on Monday, November 11, 2024, in the "Competitive Romania: From idea to smart business with European funds" summit, organised by Ziarul Financiar, ROREG and BCR. In its first edition in Bucharest, the event brings together representatives of regional development agencies, entrepreneurs and companies from the whole country to explore effective ways to capitalise on the more than 100 billion euros available to Romania in the coming years for economic development.
During the discussions, ICI Bucharest representatives emphasised innovative solutions and advanced technologies that support the digital transformation and economic competitiveness of Romania's regions. The focus will be on strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors that facilitate technological development and contribute to the goals of growth and economic cohesion.
The summit addresses topics of strategic interest, such as reducing development gaps between regions, using European funds to create modern infrastructures, digitising the administration and supporting the private sector through investments and accessible financing. The participants will also discuss the funding opportunities offered by the Regional Operational Program 2021-2027, worth more than 11 billion euros, and the benefits of decentralising these funds, which are now managed by regional development agencies.
