The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest participated in the conference "Driving Sustainable Change. From Vision to Action", an event dedicated to sustainable development, organised by the MediaUno Press Group, in partnership with the National Institute of Statistics, the Department for Sustainable Development and the MediaUno Association within the "Bucharest Leaders' Summit: United for a Better World".
The conference took place at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. It brought together representatives of academia, public administration, the energy sector, professional organisations, and the research environment, in an applied dialogue on the directions through which sustainability can be transformed from a strategic objective into concrete action. ICI Bucharest was represented by Dr Eng. Adrian-Victor Vevera, General Director of the institute, who spoke about the role of technology, research, and digital infrastructures in supporting the transition towards more efficient, safer, and more responsible development models.
The event's agenda included topics relevant to the future of Romania and the region: national strategies for sustainable development, sustainable urban development, country branding as a strategic tool, investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency, transport and mobility policies, education and public awareness, and public-private partnerships for sustainable projects.
