ICI Bucharest present at the Summit of Mayors 2024 in Târgu Mureș

ICI Bucharest was present at the Summit of Mayors 2024, held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Târgu Mureș. The event brought together over 300 participants, including mayors, central authorities and representatives of private sector companies.

"Today, I am launching a challenge, a partnership to provide a practical solution for local public authorities managing key responsibilities such as taxation, particularly on property. Each local public authority should have its own email server through which it has an official email address. These email addresses would facilitate more efficient and secure communication in managing official documents concerning citizens and other institutions. We are ready to support you in implementing this solution, and the Town Halls Guide can promote this initiative. I am convinced that it will significantly simplify interaction with citizens and protect transmitted data, as a dedicated server offers a higher security level than public email services such as Gmail or Hotmail." Adrian Victor Vevera, General Director of ICI Bucharest.

Among the major topics discussed at the summit were the digitization of public services, the modernization of infrastructure through smart technologies and the efficient use of European funds. The participants explored case studies from Romania and abroad, and the proposed solutions were aimed at improving the quality of life in cities and communities and efficiently managing resources.

An important summit moment was the relaunch of the City Halls Guide, an innovative digital platform that provides essential solutions and functionalities for local administrations. The new version of the Guide transforms the interaction between authorities and solution providers into a more efficient process, contributing to the digitalization of public administration.

The conclusions of the event highlighted the urgent need for innovation in local administration and the importance of the rapid adoption of digital solutions to respond to contemporary challenges and to ensure the long-term development of Romanian cities.
