Between December 10-14, 2023, the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, had the privilege of hosting approximately 200 first-year students of the Faculty of Business Administration in English (FABIZ) from ASE Bucharest. The event represented a unique opportunity for young people to familiarize themselves with the institute's activities and departments.
ICI Bucharest specialists gave detailed presentations of the departments they belong to, highlighting research in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), Blockchain, Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT), Top Level Registry of the .ro Domain (ROTLD ), as well as other emerging technologies. These presentations gave students an in-depth look at ongoing projects and innovations at ICI.
During the event, special attention was paid to integrating cutting-edge technologies in research projects, emphasizing their impact on society and the business environment. The possibilities of collaboration between ICI Bucharest and the academic environment to stimulate the exchange of ideas and resources in the technology field were also discussed.
Students had the opportunity to participate in hands-on sessions and interactive demonstrations, during which they directly experienced the technologies presented. This aspect added a practical dimension to the event and strengthened students' understanding of the concrete applications of computer science research.
