ICI Bucharest promotes the protection and resilience efforts of critical infrastructure

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, through Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of the institute, participated, between October 3-5, 2023, at the Critical Infrastructure Protection & Resilience Europe conference, held in Prague, the Czech Republic, where he presented the initiatives aimed at strengthening the security and resilience of critical infrastructure.

“The protection and resilience of critical infrastructure has evolved significantly in recent years due to rapid technological advances, increased interconnectivity and the emergence of new threats. I believe that by pooling our expertise and experiences, we can create a safer, more resilient and more secure environment for the systems that underpin our daily lives,” said Adrian-Victor Vevera, the general director of ICI Bucharest, who spoke at the opening of the event.

The conference was opened by Lt. Gen. Vladimir Vlcek, Director General of the Czech Fire Service, Jozef Sikela, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and John Donlon, President of the International Association of CIP Professionals (IACIPP).

The event brought together leading industry stakeholders, operators, agencies and governments, serving as a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of critical infrastructure protection. The presence of ICI Bucharest at this awarding conference proves its commitment to supporting excellence in research and innovation for the development of the knowledge-based economy in Romania and better integration in the European and international research space.
