The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest received the Excellence in Leadership for Innovation, Research and Development award at The Diplomat-Bucharest Awards Gala, held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

The award represents a recognition of the sustained efforts and the impact that ICI Bucharest had on the technological landscape, contributing to the consolidation of collaborations between research institutes, universities, the business environment and public administration. Under the leadership of the general director Adrian-Victor Vevera, the institute actively participated in over 16 projects with internal funding and 8 European projects, within reference programs such as Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+, and stood out as an important IT cooperation hub in various regions of the world.
