Today, May 17, 2023, ICI Bucharest was awarded at the Internet Champions Gala - 30 years of Internet in Romania.
The event took place on the International Day of Telecommunications and the Information Society and was organized by the Digital Transformation Council in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania. It was addressed to professionals, executives, decision-makers, and leaders in the ICT domain and those in converging industries, i.e., automotive, finance, banks, etc.

Each of us has a role to play in shaping the future, a responsibility to harness the power of the Internet, and a duty to ensure that the digital world remains a tool for progress and inclusion. I congratulate you on your efforts and trust that only through collaboration, sharing of ideas, and continuous learning, we can harness the true potential of the Internet, thus bringing about positive change.” said Adrian-Victor Vevera, general director of ICI Bucharest.
The event was attended by E.S. Dan Mihalache, Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Mihai Daraban, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mr. Bogdan Dumea, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitization, Mr. Eduard Lovin, Vice President of the National Authority for Communications Administration and Regulation, Mr. Andrei Niculae, vice-president of the Authority for the Digitization of Romania, Mr. Valentin Popoviciu, vice-president of RCS&RDS, Mr. Vlad Doicaru, Huawei, Mr. Răzvan Bologa, Bucharest University of Economic Studies and Mr. Ion Vaciu, president, Council for Digital Transformation.
