ICI Bucharest was present at the sixth edition of the Natural Gas Forum, with the theme "The contribution of natural gas to the competitiveness of the industry, in the context of the energy transition", which was organized by Financial Intelligence on Monday, November 11, 2024.
The representatives of ICI Bucharest participated alongside experts and leaders of the energy industry to debate topics of major importance for Romania and Europe in a time of profound transformations in the energy sector. With an increased interest in integrating digital innovations in the energy sector, ICI Bucharest contributed to the discussions about the advanced technological solutions needed in the energy transition and supply security context.
Among the topics discussed at the Forum were the supply of natural gas in the winter of 2024-2025, the evolution of the price of natural gas in Romania and Europe, including forecasts for the coming months, the Draghi report on the contribution of natural gas to industrial competitiveness in the context of the energy transition, the positioning of the new Commission European towards the future of energy and natural gas, the Neptun Deep project and its economic benefits for Romania, the integration of hydrogen and its potential for Romania, the evolution of natural gas production in Romania and investments in distribution networks and gas price capping policies and the impact on energy suppliers.
