ICI Bucharest's participation in the inauguration of the new terminal at Cluj-Napoca International Airport

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics (ICI Bucharest) participated in the inauguration of the new departure terminal of the Cluj-Napoca "Avram Iancu" International Airport. The event took place today, June 5, 2024, with the presence of the President of the Senate, Nicolae Ciucă, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, Secretary General of the Government, Mircea Abrudean, Senator Vasile Dîncu, MEPs Daniel Buda and Rareș Bogdan, former Minister of Transport, Lucian Bode, the mayor Emil Boc, the President of the Cluj County Council, Alin Tișe and the Metropolitan of Cluj, IPS Andrei.

The expansion of the departures terminal is a major modernization project financed by European funds and the national budget, aiming to improve the airport's operational capacity and efficiency. The new terminal, expanded by approximately 7,200 square meters, will allow better management of passenger flow and reduce waiting times at check-in and security control formalities.

ICI Bucharest, as a partner of the Romanian Airports Association, reaffirms its commitment to support the development and modernization of the airport infrastructure in the country, contributing to the implementation of advanced technological solutions that improve the passenger experience and the operational efficiency of airports.
