Analyzing cryptocurrency transactions may require correlating information from different sources and tools. How these can be integrated to support digital forensic investigations was the focus of the dissemination event “Cryptoassets and Digital Forensics: Integrated Solutions for Investigations”, organized by ICI Bucharest on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
The event provided an update on the progress of the project “Multifunctional Portable Unit for Combating Digital Crime”. The current phase focuses on developing modules that integrate both commercial solutions and proprietary solutions developed within the project. These modules are designed to support forensic investigations involving cryptocurrency transactions.
Discussions addressed the challenges involved in analyzing these transactions and how integrating different tools can support investigative work. The program included a presentation of the modules currently under development, followed by a Q&A and discussion session.

Access to high-performance computing infrastructure and artificial intelligence expertise can be a challenge for businesses and public institutions looking to develop or test new digital solutions. However, some of these resources are available through European initiatives that support organisations interested in adopting advanced technologies.
Who is responsible when an artificial intelligence system causes harm? Is it enough for a company to purchase an AI solution from a trusted provider, or does it also have its own responsibilities regarding the security and use of that system? These questions were discussed during the panel “The AI Act in Practice: Who Is Really Accountable for Your AI?”, held on 2 November at AI Expo Europe 2026 in Bucharest.
