Partnership agreement between the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest and the “Dunărea de Jos” University of Galați (UGal)

The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest and Galaţi's "Dunărea de Jos" University inked a partnership agreement today in Galaţi (UGal).

The signed agreement formalizes the two bodies' interinstitutional partnership, which currently explores new paths in future technologies and wants to actualize through a series of tangible collaborative initiatives that are open to the entire regional area and addressed to all public and commercial entities interested.

As a result of the preliminary discussions, a number of mutual areas of interest emerged, including partnership for the joint development of continuous training programs applicable to cyber security, data operations, and cyber diplomacy. Another interesting topic is the university's offering of SOC (Security Operation Center) services to interested public and private institutions. The collaboration will take shape in the medium and long term through a project that will operationalize a SOC specializing in river transport, activities, and related services (port services, shipowners, commercial operators with river-related activities, exchange of data between the competent institutions, etc.).

ICI Bucharest and "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galaţi both have experience and unique talents in specific areas, therefore the conversations provide a possibility to coagulate the synergies of all stakeholders participating in these projects and activities into an innovative profile cluster.
